Charlotte is the co-founder and the Chief Executive Officer at BIA. She has over 20 years of experience in business intelligence and analytics, both in the business and Information Technology. Her extensive expertise in healthcare, includes clinical and financial analytics and vast experience with clinical episode groupers. She has served as a lead in Business Intelligence implementations both from the business and as an architect for numerous data warehouse and mart implementations at the largest Health Insurer in the State of Hawaii, HMSA. Recently, she has lead BIA in developing state-of-the-art forecasting and deep learning/AI predictive solutions. Her expertise is in SQL, data architecture, data visualization, advanced analytic applications and more recently deep and machine learning.
Joseph is the co-founder and Chief Scientist at BIA. He is a dynamic data scientist who specializes in developing advanced algorithms and analytic applications that solve real world problems. He is highly skilled in R, Python, the MicroStrategy business intelligence platform and other data visualization tools. He has in-depth experience in financial, quantitative and statistical, machine learning and deep learning models. He created an innovative corporate wide Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) time series forecasting application that automatically selects the best forecasting model for each segment across company. He has presented at multiple MicroStrategy International conferences about Deep Learning. Joseph is also a faculty member at the University of Hawaii and has instructed multiple graduate-level courses in Business Statistics and Accounting Analytics and Visualizations at the Shidler College of Business.
Rick is the Chief Technology Officer at BIA. With over three decades of experience in building Enterprise-Class information technology platforms and deploying data science solutions, Rick is a proven leader with a unique combination of deep engineering expertise, strong organizational skills and Technology evangelist charisma from his successes working on F1000 customer implementations. Rick's strengths include a solid foundation for building state-of-the-art platforms using proven methodologies that consistently scale to meet organizational growth objectives. Rick holds patents for multiprocessor computer architecture while at Teradata, implementing leading edge data science solutions at MicroStrategy, enhancements to the industry PMML standard and open-source contributions to the R project. As a skilled presenter and educator, Rick frequently presents at leading industry conferences as well as deliver webinars and instructor-led training. His current interests are focused on leading edge technologies including Augmented DSML and AI technologies that sped the delivery of forecasting and deep learning insights to decision makers on the front line.
